Hi Friends,

I was born in Warren, Ohio, but moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas when I was 11 years old. “Ohio-born and Texas-raised” is why you will hear a mixture of “you guys” and “y’all” during conversations. I attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where I received a B.A. in English. I was a high school English teacher in Dallas for 14 years before my wife, four kids, and I moved to Ohio in 2019 in search of a new adventure for our family.

The move afforded me the opportunity to pursue the pastoral calling I had always felt while growing up. I received my M.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Belhaven University in 2023, and shortly afterward I entered the Member in Discernment (ordination) process of the United Church of Christ.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children above all else. They are my greatest blessing and a dream come true. I am also an avid reader and runner. More mornings than not, you will find me at one of the Edinburg parks, either running on pavement or along the dirt trails.
