Reverend Timothy Paroz
Reverend Timothy Paroz began his ministry at Edinburg United Church on December 1st of 2012. Prior to this, he served as an Army Chaplain in Iraq and Fort Drum and served two country churches near Tiffin, OH. Tim also serves as Group Chaplain for the 475th QM Group out of Farrell, PA. He received a Masters of Divinity in 2009 from Methodist Theological School in Ohio and a Masters of Theological Studies in Christian Ethics in 2005 from the same school. Tim attended The Ohio State University and obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Germanic Languages and Literature, 2001.
Pastor Tim’s wife, Kim, obtained a Masters of Biblical Leadership from Phoenix Seminary in 2007 and a degree in Education from Lee University in 2004. She grew up in a Navy family, as her father was a Navy Chaplain. They have two children, Vera and Alena.
The Leadership of EUC consists of a Council headed by a Moderator and Assistant Moderator. Council consists of eight nominated members in addition to the Moderator, Assistant Moderator Finance Director and Clerk. The Pastor is also an ex officio member of the Council without voting privileges.
The Pastoral Relations Teams acts as an intermediary between the Pastor and the congregation to pursue the most effective ministry possible. This Team also makes recommendations to the Stewardship and Finance Team for setting the Pastor’s salary and other allowable expenses for the contract year.
