FREEDOM RUN

The 6th annual Freedom Run to benefit Freedom House is complete for 2019! Thank you to all of our registered runners and walkers as well to our generous sponsors. Collectively, we raised $3290 to donate to our Veterans! Congratulations to all involved. It was a beautiful year once again. We look forward to hosting all Veteran supporters next Memorial Day.

The Freedom House program was established in 2004 by Family & Community Services, Inc. and is a fourteen bed, transitional housing facility funded through the Department of Veterans Affairs Capital Grant and Per Diem Program. The facility is staffed 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Program participants and staff work cooperatively to develop a plan to end the veteran’s homelessness. The facility holds open weekly Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous meetings and has a chemical dependency counseling assistant on-site.
